Amor received her MA psychology degree, major in clinical setting, at the University of Santo Tomas, Manila Campus, and MA Divinity in Asian Seminary of Christian Ministries. She is a licensed psychologist, licensed psychometrician, a certified mental health first aider and certified hypnotist. With more than 15 years of experience in the mental health field, she has worked with a variety of youth and adults with differing psychological conditions or in crisis, using both online and face to face counseling and therapy. She has experience conducting mental health training and workshops in schools, churches and other professional settings. She also engages in mental health and psychology research to promote mental health awareness.

As a therapist at Tokyo Mental Health, Amor utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, expressive arts and hypnotherapy in helping clients. She has practiced psychological first aid, mental health first aid and debriefing in varied mental health and humanitarian settings in the past. She worked with young clients using play therapy while with an NGO. She has also helped church workers, and professionals work on their personal goals and cope with their relevant concerns through counseling. Additionally, Amor has training in conducting psychological assessment and testing.

Amor brings her warmth and care combined with candidness and insight in dealing with clients so that they can have a safe and comfortable way of unfolding their concerns or stories. She facilitates insight and clarity for clients to enhance their awareness of where they’re at, what they’re doing, or to simply encourage them to move in a direction more suited to who they are. She aims to help clients recognize or enhance their strengths and abilities and take steps towards positive change to manage their own issues and concerns realistically.
